Fearless February: What If You Just Committed For 21 Days?

So during our monthly UK coffee chat, I was sharing something real.

I had called a friend and told her how overwhelmed I was feeling. Not because I don’t have God-given goals, but because I was staring at the entire puzzle instead of focusing on one piece at a time.

And honestly? I think that’s why so many New Year goals fade. We don’t lack vision, we overload ourselves by trying to carry the whole picture at once.

After that conversation, I knew I needed to go straight to God.

I grabbed my journal and pen, sat with Him, and almost immediately I heard in my spirit:

What if you just committed for 21 days?”

Something stirred in me.

Yes. What if?

Twenty one days feels doable. It feels grounded. It’s enough time to establish routines without feeling overwhelming, and honestly, it feels like a holy reset.

That same night (1/31/26), I had a dream about one of my old mentors. We were talking about goals, and before the dream ended he said, “See you tomorrow.”

I woke up on February 1st knowing exactly what that meant.

It’s time to lock in.

When I was under his mentorship, everything was about consistency and commitment and that’s the posture I’m stepping back into.

Health & Fitness - Locking In for 21 Days

One of my main focus areas for these 21 days is my health and fitness.

I’m committing to:

  • Consistent workouts

  • A structured meal plan

  • No flex days for 21 days

Normally, I give myself one flex day a week, pizza, chocolate, lattes… no guilt. I do that intentionally so I don’t live in restriction.

But lately, I’ve felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to want more.

I’ve been thinking about old Jessica, the version of me that was locked in, disciplined, and deeply committed.

After the 21 days, I’ll reassess and bring flex days back if that’s where I’m led. But right now? I’m ready to go all in.

And let me be clear, January wasn’t a fail. I actually did really well. I just had more flex days than I intended.

And I keep reminding myself:

If nothing changes, nothing changes.

Bible Reading — Best of Both Worlds

Another area I’m focusing on is my time in the Word.

I’ve been in my Bible every single day in January, and I’m genuinely grateful for that.

Originally, my plan for the year was to slowly study the New Testament, no rush, just depth.

But I’m also part of a weekly Bible study group, and we decided to follow The Bible Recap, reading the Bible chronologically in a year.

At first, I thought I’d just show up and share what I was learning from the New Testament.

But during our second meeting, something shifted.

They shared that each week we’d:

  • Reflect on God’s attributes from the readings

  • Share a “God Shot” — something new or meaningful we learned about Him

And I was like… yes. I want that.

So I did what any motivated woman does, I binged the Bible for a week to catch up. Best week of my life! :)

For these 21 days, this is my rhythm:

  • Mornings: Bible Recap reading

  • Evenings: Studying the New Testament

Best of both worlds. Structure and intimacy.

Ministry — It’s Time for Shift Worthy Fit

The final area I’m focusing on is ministry, specifically Shift Worthy Fit.

This journey hasn’t been easy. It’s stretched me, challenged me, and honestly required more faith than I expected.

But it’s time.

I’ll share more at the end of the month in Behind the Crown – Episode 2, so I won’t give too much away right now.

Just know… God is moving.

This Is My Fearless February

For the next 21 days, I’m locking in.

I’m challenging myself in the areas God has clearly called me to steward:

  • My health

  • My faith

  • My assignment

And I want to invite you to join me.

What are you focusing on this month?

And if you feel like January didn’t go how you hoped, guess what?

February can be January 2.0.

Grace is still available. Momentum can still be built.

I’m praying you have a beautiful, focused, and fearless February.

Pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and let’s lock in together.
