Abandoned to UN-Abandoned!

You just stepped foot into a cold dark abandoned house. The first room you walk into is filled with dust, spider webs, dirty dishes, laundry, unfinished projects, and distractions. As you keep walking through the dark distracted room you see another room with a bright light.

You step foot into the bright room and see Jesus sitting in all His beautiful glory. He tells you to come in. You come into the bright room and fall on your knees before Him because His glory is SO tangible. 

You may feel as if you are abandoned and stuck in the first room! You are spinning, trying, and nothing you ever do is good enough! You feel as if no one sees you! Your world has been busy, house chores have gotten out of control, and you are so mentally gone… you just can’t anymore!!

Maybe you have collapsed on the floor from it all!

BUT…. 

You look up from the mental exhaustion and see a light in the other room and it’s drawing you near! It’s a light like you have never seen, it's so bright and you can feel its warmth. You army crawl to that light because you just can’t walk anymore and you see Jesus sitting in there!

Jesus just called you out of your dark abandoned room! You are now UN-abandoned! Jesus sees you! He’s always seen you! He saw you in your abandoned state! Stay in the bright room, stay at His feet, cry those ugly painful tears, and stay in that room until He makes your heart soft! 

When your heart is soft you become oily, you are saturated in the beautiful presence of Jesus! Now that you are soft oily and dripping with Jesus, set a match to that

dark cold abandoned room!

You are not leaving that house the same way you came in! 

Now go forth in the light, Jesus will open a narrow door for you to walk through! 

“For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness, “has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.”

2 Corinthians 4:6

Now no matter what you face (distractions etc) God's Son (Jesus) is looking at it! God put His Son (Jesus) face in your beautiful heart! 

You are now UN-Abandoned…

Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

In life we are going to face distractions and we are going to want to give up! As you are walking or crawling through the hard look for that bright light! It might be hard to see, but it’s there! Jesus is always there! He always will be! He sees you when nobody else sees you! 

Don’t give up!

The outer word will tell you otherwise but, if you keep your eyes on Jesus nothing else will matter! Come to His feet & leave dripping in His presence!

“We all with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

2 Corinthians 4:18

As we keep looking at the LORD by Spirit His face permeates our face! Changing our lives and our countenance into the face of Jesus! 

Keep looking at the light JESUS!
