Day 4: Longing For Something Deeper!

In the Bible it doesn't say what Jesus did on this day. Today, I want to encourage you to read and meditate on Psalm 42:1.

“As a deer longs for flowing streams, so I long for you, God.” CSB

I know that in this world there are a lot of people looking and searching for someone or something to fill a void. That void is Jesus! That longing is for something deeper! It's Jesus! He is the only one that can fill us up! We need Him! He's who we are really longing for.

I don't know your personal relationship with Jesus & you might already know this but, you can have a relationship with Him. He can talk to you, lead you, love you, & He will let you feel His presence.

I encourage you to take that step into a deeper relationship with Him. I also encourage you to fall in love with Jesus everyday! Whenever you read the Bible read it through the lens Christ Crucified. It takes the focus off of us & puts our focus on Jesus. When we truly grasp that Jesus bled and died for us… how can we not fall in love with Him?

Jesus loves each and every single one of us! Even if we feel miles away from Him… His love is still miles long for us (& beyond that.) Today be a Mary (Luke 10:42)

“but ONE THING (JESUS) is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and IT WILL NOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER.”

Be With Worthy Jesus

Often, our words fill the silence when what we truly need is to simply be with Jesus. Today, take a moment to ask Jesus to pour His love upon you. Sit quietly, allowing His presence to surround you, and keep your heart and mind fixed on Him.

Make the Shift

Today, shift your posture to sit at the feet of Jesus, inviting Him to fill the void you may be feeling. Dive deeper into His presence, allowing His love to saturate every part of your being. Remember, Jesus loves you SO much!

Today feast on Jesus and keep drinking from the living water! When we are feasting we are not hungry, and we are not distracted! We are consumed with the one who has our hearts! When we are drinking from the living water we find a place of protection! We are kept safe, we feel at peace, and our hearts burn and yearn for beautiful Jesus!
