Relying on the Holy Spirit in Every Season!

Hey Kingdom Sisters & Brothers,
It's been a week! I’ve been sick with a fever and all the not-so-fun stuff that comes with it. Earlier this week, the Holy Spirit nudged me that Wednesday would be a day of rest—and oh, did I need it! I could barely make it through the grocery store to grab ingredients for some healing bone broth (recipe below, in case you need a little extra goodness too!). Taking care of our temples is so important, but I’ll be honest, just getting through those aisles felt like walking in a dream. Only the Holy Spirit got me through!
This week has been full of hard things, and I found myself telling God, “I’m tired of being an independent woman. It’s hard sometimes.” The world looks at singleness and assumes we have endless time and freedom, but the truth is, we still carry responsibilities. Some of us work extra jobs, manage everything on our own, and when we’re sick—well, we have to take care of ourselves.
Someone at church recently asked me, “What is it that you can’t do?” because they see how involved I am. I love serving, and I believe everyone should, but part of me stays busy because I don’t have someone saving me a seat or walking alongside me in certain ways.
Singleness often comes with added responsibility, and in those moments of feeling stretched thin, I’m so grateful for my relationship with Jesus. Because at the end of the day, He’s the One I truly have.

This whole journey of being sick has reminded me of how the Holy Spirit always leads me. He knows exactly what we need! He guided me to natural remedies instead of the doctor, knowing I’m an all-natural girly. Weeks leading up to this, the weather played a huge role—one week was in the negatives with snow, and the next was in the 70s. Our bodies feel that shift! But He has already led me to a specific way of eating for my body, and I have faithfully followed it this year. When you invite Him into your health, your decisions—He will lead and provide.
So whether you’re single, married, single with kids—whatever season you’re in—lean into the Holy Spirit. He will guide you. He will sustain you. He will give you rest when you need it most.
Sending you love and encouragement today!
And if you’re feeling under the weather, here’s my simple, healing bone broth recipe:
✅ 2 cups of bone broth (chicken or beef—homemade or store-bought, just make sure it’s organic if possible)
✅ 2-3 cloves of fresh garlic (crushed or minced)
✅ 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (optional, but helps extract nutrients)
✅ 1/2 tsp turmeric (for anti-inflammatory benefits)
✅ 1/4 tsp black pepper (helps absorb turmeric)
✅ Pinch of sea salt (for electrolytes)
✅ 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional for extra vitamin C)
✅ Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary (optional but great for flavor & healing)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Pour the bone broth into a small pot and bring it to a simmer.
2️⃣ Add the crushed garlic and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes (the longer, the stronger the garlic’s healing powers).
3️⃣ Stir in apple cider vinegar, turmeric, black pepper, sea salt, and lemon juice.
4️⃣ Let it cool just a little, then sip slowly like a cozy tea.
Praying over you all!
Stay encouraged and always shift to Jesus.
With love,
Jessica :)
