SHUT UP DEVIL! MY KEYS ARE COMING!

Have you ever felt a sudden stirring in your spirit? That deep internal shift where you just know, this is it, it’s time to make your faith move. Time to stop dragging your feet, step out with courage, and just do the thing!

For me, "the thing" this past summer was getting my tires rotated.

I had been procrastinating for months. I’d literally drive up to the tire shop, see a full parking lot, and tell myself, "Nope, not today. I’ll try again tomorrow." People kept telling me, "Jessica, just make an appointment online!" But in my heart, I knew that wasn’t the move for me.

Finally, after a long, exhausting week, I prayed. It wasn't convenient. I was tired, and honestly? All I wanted to do was swing by the drive-thru, grab a strong Americano, and go home to hibernate.

But I felt that gentle nudge: Today is the day.

I prayed, "God, if there’s a parking spot for me, I’ll take it as my sign to go in." I pulled up, and right there in the front row was one open spot.

Faith is a lot like that. Sometimes it’s not about squeezing God into our neat, color-coded schedules. Sure, an appointment is convenient, but when God called Abraham or pulled the disciples away from their fishing nets, it was anything but convenient!

God’s moves rarely fit into our human timelines.

Finding that spot was my cue, but I still had to open the car door and step out.

I shut my door and walked into that shop with full-on Kingdom Confidence. Was I uncomfortable? Absolutely, I’m not a car girl! But I walked up to the counter, explained what I needed, and mentioned that a couple of my tires hadn't been holding air like they used to.

The mechanic brought me inside, showed me a diagram, and recommended two completely new tires. I felt peace about it and agreed. Then panic hit: "Wait, I don't have my tire card with me!"

He just smiled and said, "No problem, Jessica. I can look it up. We’ve got you on file."

When you make your God move, you have to leave the place of prayer and step into action. Walk into your situation with Kingdom Confidence! Don’t let the noise or the feeling of "I don't belong here" make you step out of your blessing. Meet with God, let Him show you a map of where you’ve been, and let Him reveal what needs to be rotated in your life.

And guess what? God already knows what you need before you ask. You don't have to stress about missing pieces; He’s already got your profile on file. He’s preparing you for NEW.

Next came the surrender: I handed over my keys.

I found a cozy waiting spot by a glass window overlooking the service bay. They had complimentary water, outlets, and coffee. I could have made a quick cup of waiting-room coffee, but I knew what I really wanted was my fresh Americano, so I chose to wait.

At first, the waiting room is exciting! You see other people getting their cars fixed, hearing their names called, and grabbing their keys to their next assignment. You think, Wow, if God can do a new thing for them, He’s going to do it for me, too!

Then, 2:30 PM turned into 3:30 PM. Then 4:30 PM.

I stared out that window watching mechanics work on every car except mine. My car was still sitting parked outside. My faith move was just... sitting there. I tried reading my Bible app, checking texts, and checking my watch every two minutes.

This is the exact moment where so many of us want to walk back up to the counter, demand our keys back, and leave. But if you walk away mid-process, you miss the miracle! You’ll be left driving around on worn-out tires, stuck in the exact same condition you started in. God whispers: "It’s My timing, not yours. Remain in Me. Keep waiting."

Finally, 5:15 PM rolled around. I saw my car pull into the bay!

I watched through the glass as they took off my old, worn tires. Sometimes, the transition into your "new" hurts. There has to be a stripping away of the old seasons, the things that rolled with you for a long time, but can't carry you where you're going next.

By 5:35 PM, the enemy started whispering: "You've been waiting too long. It’s not gonna happen for you. Look at everyone else getting their keys while you’re stuck here."

SHUT UP, DEVIL. MY KEYS ARE COMING!

At 5:40 PM, the door popped open. "JESSICA!"

I practically leaped out of my seat! The mechanic handed me my paperwork and told me to wait right outside by the front curb. Even then, there was a tiny 4-minute delay while they brought the car around. Even in the final stretch, God uses those last few moments to prepare your heart to receive what He’s done.

Then, my car pulled right up to the curb. The worker stepped out, handed me my keys, and said, "Here you go, Jessica! Have a great night."

The process was complete. I had my new tires, my keys, and a heart full of praise. And yes, I finally got my strong Americano!

Whatever you are waiting on today, step out in faith. Hand God your keys and trust Him with the process. It might take longer than your schedule allowed, and the stripping away of the old might feel uncomfortable, but His timing is flawless.

Keep driving forward, keep your spiritual radio turned up high, and enjoy the journey into your NEW!
